The Apollo Theatre School is looking for applicants who are advanced in one or more subjects and have experience or natural ability in other areas. Prospective students will need to display the kind of attitude and ability that with sufficient training will allow them to pursue a career in: performance, musical theatre, teaching or other related professions.
Please note the minimum requirements for entry into the Apollo Theatre School:

At least 16 years of age (by February 2009)
Holding at least NCEA Level 1 or equivalent (by February 2009)
Allowed to live and study in NZ

Those who audition successfully will be sent a Letter of Offer and will be invited to enrol in the school.
Please note that there is a $200 application fee – full application information is included in the application form. Audition details will be sent upon receipt of complete application.
The panel will award a maximum of 25 places however fewer places may be offered if less than 25 candidates are suitable for entry into the school.

The Apollo Theatre School is looking for applicants who have either:

Completed tertiary study in a performing arts or dance related subject
Completed tertiary study and have relevant experience
Experience as a teacher
Other life experiences which relate and contribute to their application to the TTP.
Applicants must be eligible to live and work in NZ.

Applicants will be assessed on a case by case basis and will be required to audition for a place on the course. As The Apollo Theatre School is committed to producing graduates at a certain standard and skill level, an assessment of their personal ability in the relevant dance disciplines as well as an interview process are part of the application process.

Although The Apollo Theatre School is an NZQA registered school, the Teacher Training Programme has only recently been developed and is not yet approved or accredited by NZQA.

The enrolment process begins with a successful audition. If your audition was successful you will be sent a Letter of Offer to enrol in the school. See the enrolment flowchart (below) for an overview.
