The aim of this inspirational course is to fully prepare students, for a professional career in performance, musical theatre, teaching and other associated professions. The course aims to inspire learners to reach their full potential by providing inspirational tutors and an exciting curriculum.

The Apollo Theatre School prides itself in its ability to offer subjects at a different levels to meet student’s individual needs. A key focus of this course is to provide students with the support and assistance they need to move into the professional arena. The school will actively seek auditions and fully prepare students in their transition towards a professional career.

Do You Have a Passion for Performance and a Desire to Develop your Skills?
This comprehensive course enables students to improve their strength and extend their ability in preparation for further full time training. This exciting course is perfect for learners who need a stepping stone year from after school tuition into full time training. Students follow individually tailored timetables and are fully supported in the selection of further training courses, the application and audition process.

Level: 4
Duration: 1 year
Total Credits: 115 (10 additional credits are available)

Students will be required to audition for a place on this course but are not required to display the same advanced standard in dance as required for the Diploma course.

All students are encouraged to broaden their employment opportunities by opting to study teaching qualifications along side their performance training. The American Jazz Dance Affiliation Junior and Intermediate Jazz Teaching Certificates are offered as optional courses of study within the Diploma in Musical Theatre. Following successful completion of the examinations, teachers can apply for full registration with the American Jazz Dance Affiliation.

The one year ATS Teacher Training Programme has been developed for learners interested in pursuing a career in teaching dance, or for those teachers who would like to up-skill.
